Planning my Horror Opening

Horror Opening Ideas:

The Plot:

Costumes:

I would really like for the 3-4 little girls playing hide and seek to wear really bright, colourful and girly dresses. This would imply that the girls are happy and having inoscent fun. It would make them look harmless and just like your typical group of friends planing hide and seek.
Some examples are:

I really like the colourful frills on both of these photos.
They create the touch of girlniess and inosence that
I want to give my main characters.

Setting:

I would really like to film my horror opening in an abandoned area or building. It would be really interesting to show the girls playing in hide and seek in a place that to most people would seem really spooky and somewhere that they wouldn't like to visit. However to the girls it is a place that opens their imagination and they like to play there inoscently together without realising the haunted atmosphere the loaction has.

 Some Examples are:
all of these locations look very creepy and wouldn't be a place that i would like to visit in the dark or to play there.
They're exactly the type of place that I would like to film my horror opening at just so that I can create these
haunted, scary effects to the audience. it would keep the audience on edge as it would lead them to beleive that
something scary or bad is going to happen because of the location the film is set in.

Media in my Life

There are many different forms of viewing the media in the world and I think it's fair to say that we all use a lot of these different forms. Personally, I use hundreds and thousands of these various forms. Often I find myself casually scrolling through my Facebook or Twitter feed just to pass the time. I use the media to keep in touch with friends both living close to home and those living overseas. Although I don’t do it often, I will sometimes use the media to update myself on the news of the World or the latest gossip of the celebrities. I will occasionally find myself gazing at the bright posters, billboards and magazines produced by the print media.

If there was to be a fire in your house/building what would be the first thing you’d grab? In a lot of situations someone chooses their mobile phone. I know I definitely would. My phone never leaves my side. It is such a useful device that can access so much different applications. I would find it extremely difficult if I was forced to live without it. If I had to count how many times I used my phone every day I would lose count within the first couple of hours. The Daily Mail wrote that the average person checks their phone up to 110 times a day and up to every 6 seconds in the evening. That’s a lot.

The media has had a large impact on me personally and still has this large impact on me now. It has come to a point where the media has started to control my life.     I find myself constantly checking my phone for new updates on social media and to see what the latest gossip is. The media has had both positive and negative effects on my life. On the negative side of things I find that the media causes me to waste a lot of my free time that I could be using to do more productive activities. On the positive side I find that the media, especially in the more social perspective benefits me in many ways. For instance, I am able to contact friends from overseas in the U.S.A who I have grown up with and find it harder to keep in touch with them. But the social media allows me to stay in touch with them easier.

The media affects all of us, whether we like it or not. However, it’s up to each of us as individuals to use it wisely.
